Apple Says they cannot keep up with the high demand

While Apple publicized record profits, Tim Cook, Apple’s chief executive, stated that even the supplies of cheaper, older iPhone models weren’t sufficient to satisfy the demand, and also that the iMacs sales went down basically for the reason that the company was unable to build the latest design quick enough. He also stated that the demand for iPad Mini also continued to outdo supply as customers were really into the device that Steve Jobs thought Apple should never create.

Mr. Cook pointed out that 56% of Apple’s revenue for the quarter came from iPhones. Both iPhone 5 and iPhone 4 sales very constraint throughout the whole quarter, and as Apple began producing more and shipping more, the sales went up. He also stated that, even though they could put the “Apple brand” on various other products, they would not do that.

Apple sold a record 47.8 million iPhones, in September 2012, which was surely helped by the release of the new iPhone 5. They also sold 22.9 million iPads, exceeding the forecast of 22.4 million. They also sold 12.7 million iPods, raising the overall revenue of the quarter to $54.5 billion.
