Cyber crimes were more of a technical and political issue in last ten years but it looks like cyber crimes have gone too far now. Now-a-days, no one is feeling secure against the hackers and that is why the USA governing body is planning to do something.
Gamers will welcome this because gamers had to face a terribly huge attack from Hackers on both PlayStation networks and Xbox Live network in last Christmas. Only one person among the hacker group (Lizard Squad) got caught by the UK police and the rest of the team is intangible so far.
So, the speech of President Obama obviously makes us hopeful. He said in his speech, "With the Sony attack that took place, with the Twitter account that was hacked by Islamist jihadist sympathizers yesterday, it just goes to show how much more work we need to do -- both public and private sector -- to strengthen our cyber security,"
This is not all. President also said that he is already working on this issue and he discussed this with the Senate and the leaders. He said, "I think we agreed that this is an area where we can work hard together, get some legislation done and make sure that we are much more effective in protecting the American people from these kinds of cyber attacks."
Hopefully we won't have to see attacks on gaming portals again.
