A new hidden object game from PlayFirst with cute scenarios and locations, where Bernie the Bookworm and Flo put on their sleuthing caps and uncover mysteries which have left DinerTown unsettled. A light hearted game-play with the familiar DinerTown art and fashion, this is a fresh take on the traditional hidden object game genre. There are a total of 25 levels filled with seek and find tasks and plenty of evidence collection and detective work. The first part of the game involves finding items from cluttered scenes as well as gathering broken pieces of an item and reconstructing them. These reconstructed items can then be used to interact with the actual scene in the game. The second half of the game is mostly about eliminating suspects through mini games like matching fingerprints or putting cards onto a grid where the columns and rows have a common theme. After interrogation, as a suspect meets all three criteria identified earlier, he is the culprit and the case is thus solved. It is then time for a new level and a new case. Every aspect of the game including design, color, storyline, dialog, music and characters is quite well presented. The game-play is engaging and the graphics are also fairly nice. The two available modes: story and freeplay, suits both experienced and casual gamers. DinerTown Detective Agency is a great hidden object game overall.
