Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Game

Sega has finally harnessed the character Sonic (known for his speed) for a racing game. Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Big the Cat, from other sonic universes join Sonic on this adventure. A very game to play, with buttons for acceleration and brake, and another power ups. One is required to use drift to good effect if you wish to fancy your chances to win. Drift boosting becomes an integral part of aiming for first place; one needs to angle its car long enough and a secondary boost is activated which then boosts you ahead of the pack. It's important to master it but would take some time to do so. As you use power ups which can take different time for different players you see a blue flame from exhaust and a high pitched sound is heard, though it can be at times tricky to know when the boosters are up. It has a lovely course design with vivid colorful details. Owing to the frame rate the game can be slow for brief periods hampering the game feeling of speed. You have the battle and the hit you opponents mode apart from the regular modes to run. Overall, Multi star comes as good in multiplayer kart racer category.
