SheepArcade editor's review: An exciting puzzle game from PopCap games it’s based on the Greek-mythology, and you take on the role of King Midas. You have to help him earn enough gold and construct buildings for the under privileged to pass each level. Connect talismans together and the longer a chain is the higher is your score. Battle it out with legendary Greek monsters and collect power-ups which make it easier to solve the riddles. After you have collected enough points required for a level, you are redirected to a cut scene where you complete a building before you move to the next level. A whole new set of challenging obstacles greet you in every level and a HERO mode which is a timed version of the same game can be played for extra fun after you have completed a certain number of levels. This mode is particularly for people who love a time set puzzle. The 40 odd levels in the game are divided between the main story mode and the hero mode. The gameplay is the same in both with the latter being timed and the former is more relaxed, ideal for the casual gamer. Collect bonus tiles in the path which help you to eliminate columns of tiles together and the faster you build paths, the more advanced animal heads you will collect which helps in making better buildings. There are refreshing mini-games in between which involve clicking on flying objects for the most part but are a nice diversion from the main game. The graphics and the sound are average and the backgrounds are detailed, making the game a fairly addictive one. |
