This story, this novel has always had its crowd and it was always under spotlight of fans. Not much has changes when it comes to the game of the same novel. As the game is based on the same named novel, you would expect some sort of an adventure or action game, but the manufactures focused on making a hidden object game, which resulted in removing some facts that are very famous about their behavior, but they included the facts which are known to very few people on the whole planet, that is only to those who had done their homework when it comes to this story. In the 19th century London, England was a menace or better yet a demon was on the loose that walked through the city like a shadow and committing crimes so horrible it is too awful to describe them. Sir Danvers Carew, much respected man, was found dead, and it is the job of the inspector under your guidance to discover who did it. His or yours investigations reaches over the whole London, from the Victorian era, in the search for any clues which will help you in tracking the murderer. You will be looking for items from a list from which most of them will get you closer to your cause. You will get acquainted with some of the facts about Doctor Jekyll’s and Mr. Hyde’s relationship and the experiment itself, with which the good doctor was trying to separate the good side of the mind or the soul from the evil one. So you won’t be just simply be collecting items to the games end…There will be a lot of dialogues in between the scenes with which you get to know the deeper and less know side of the whole story. It isn’t any material that you could say this has been done by top writers, but it done well enough to know the deception, the truth behind the murders and experiments that have gone wrong. You will be surprised by the quantity of this dialogues and the information given. This is all aided by an excellent and deeply atmospheric score. While it can get a little repetitious, with the same theme repeating over and over again, it’s treated to a number of “remixes” that serve to vary things a bit. While the game itself is something very appraised, searches in the game that is for the items in the game that are hidden are not so praised as the game settings. They are nothing special, and some of the items, well they definitely don’t match the background they are in. The mini-games in between, mostly puzzles based are put together by different types of puzzles some harder, some totally easy. You will find yourself trying to put together a ripped up letter, or something simpler like mixing up a potion you are given to make, or reconstructing a chain of pieces mostly from a crime scene to help you in your search. If you don’t feel like playing the puzzles they can all be skipped so that shouldn’t bother you. By it most famous story and novel you can expect some very intense scenes in the gameplay, so be ready.
