Trine is a physics-based action game where three characters allow clever solutions to challenges created by hazardous puzzles and threatening enemies. The gameplay is based on fully interactive physics - each character's different abilities and tactics can be used to invent new ways to overcome obstacles and save the kingdom! Storyline: In a kingdom facing chaos and forbidden magic, three heroes are bound (whether they like it or not) by a powerful artifact called "the Trine". Only this unlikely trio can put an end to the reign of the dark sorcerer that rules the kingdom. SheepArcade editor's review: This is a 2D puzzle platformer with subtly appealing visuals and easy controls. The breathtakingly beautiful backgrounds transport the player to an enchanted fantasy world where the bright rays of the sun filter in through a sleepy forest and creepers grow on tall abandoned fortresses. There are three unique playable characters in the game: Wizard, Thief and Knight. All three of them are however connected to each other through a mystical artifact, a part of the treasure called Trine. Each role in the game comes with different styles of game-play which makes it fun and you get to play free games that are built-in this one. You can switch between the characters at any point within the game by just pressing a button. All along the game you can collect items that can boost health or increase damage dealt out by a particular class. These can be stored in separate slots, one for each character for using as and when required. The three different characters have unique sets of abilities like the wizard can move objects with his mind and summon blocks or bridges. The knight understandably is the best fighter in the group. There are plenty of puzzle games to be solved, wars to be waged and new skills to be gained as you inch slowly towards your goal of getting out of the curse that binds the three characters together. Every level is somewhat different from the other adding to the variety in game-play. The physics based puzzles are a pleasant change and offer multiple solutions to each riddle. The background does a great job in infusing life into the fantasy setting of the game. Overall it is a fantastic and fun experience, a thrilling adventure with something new to discover in every nook and corner if you’re looking for some new downloadable games. |
