Introduction:
So when it comes to games there are a lot of classifications when it comes to them, but the real classification can be done in two categories: good games and bad games. So where can we put this game? Well that depends on taste of every person, and for me looking it from that perspective it wouldn’t be a good game. But this is my personal opinion and therefore I have to be neutral, because I’m not that big of a fan of RPG games. So what can we really say about this game? The games beginning is quite odd and might repeal players from this game, but what they don’t know is that the games true strength lies in the evolution of the games story.
Gameplay:
The hero of our game suddenly finds a slot machine. Now usually this wouldn’t be so odd, but what it turns out is that the slot machine is magical. Our hero doesn’t know how to handle this machine so he goes to the world of Tellus, specifically to a town called Hearthstone. There is a place called Academy where you can modify your machine in different ways. To be exact you can modify it in different modes depending on what you need on the slot machine, but also it can modify runes and your allies. There is a store in the city that can offers items for sale to enhance your slot machine such as attack symbols, runes, techniques and magic symbols. But buying those items isn't enough as they can't be implanted just like that. To use those items you need to go to slot smith, which will fix your machine up the way you want, add techniques and so forth… This is the part of the game when things will become weird as you accidentally find a magical slot machine for which nearby there is a man who can tell you how it works and it can tune it to work the way you want it to. The reel spots on the slot machine can be occupied by Attack Symbols, Magic Symbols, mana, treasure, experience and a few other special items. This so far would all be introduction to the game, as from this part forward all of the features of the game will be put together and will start to show all of the things which will probably draw you into the game. Like I previously said I’m not that much of a fan of this game, but I have to admit that this game started to draw me in as well. So how does this game work? Well you probably presumed and guessed that everything is done through the slot machine. So the next step would be that you go to the slot smith and that is where you must insert that is decide what kind of ability you want to implant in the slot machine, so when you pull the lever the symbols that come out would be mostly the ones that you have equipped with the slot smith. The type of ability that can be equipped is mentioned in the previous description of the review, and this is where the things start to heat up. You will come across different monsters across you path and all of them will have different abilities. Monsters and allies are classified into two categories, physical attack and mage (magical) types. The physical attacks are normal, meaning they are performed with different types of blades. The magical attacks are based on different elements: fire, ice, earth, etc… Adding experience will increase your strength, and you’ll also gather runes and symbols along the way that will make your character a worthy champion. You can even equip different attacks (techniques) and runes whenever you like, tailoring your attack style to your environment. Different type of mana will give you point for upgrading your skills, experience and techniques. Matching up green symbols will give your character more experience, and yellow earns you more gold. There is also red mana, but this mana is used for melee attacks of your character. If you want to perform a magical attack then for the performance of it you need to have enough amount of mana, otherwise it won’t work. The attacks can be bought in the shop like earlier mentioned, but it is not the only way. Capturing animals, through the quest you get when entering the tavern, will give the option of donating them to the zoo. Doing so will give you their abilities to equip and making you stronger of course. When monsters want to fight with you, you will be able to choose between entering the battle and fleeing from the battle. If entering the battle, it will be the battles of the slots. Our hero will travel from land to land and encounter different types of evil. Strategy will play the key role in this game, and the ability to analyze and adapt to the games different monsters and surroundings. Choosing wrong ability can cost you a lot as the enemy might be resistant to that ability or simply can’t work on it.
Graphics and sound:
The special effects that you see in the game will show you are just great. For me this is the best part of the game, as the effect of the special moves, and even the battles themselves are sometimes breathtaking, when you think about the type of the game and the rank of the game in the casual games world. The game will do more than enough to impress you and after you entered the source of the game, there will be only one exit out of it and that is to finish it.
