This is a game that probably a lot of people will love because of its theme. I’m a pet owner (a cat in my case) and I know a couple of times I have tried to dress my cat with some funny baby clothes or even specially designed clothes for cats and I got to admit all the times it looked hilarious. However, dressing up a cat is an impossible mission, even though I didn’t plan keeping her that long she ripped or squeezed out of it instantly and ended my laughter. But dogs are a different story unlike cats, I know a bunch of dogs that are dressed up and some of them even like it, especially when it’s cold and they wear their fluffy coats. For all those who don’t have the possibility of doing this, or you have a dog and don’t know what kind of clothes would fit your pup then this is a game for you. This isn’t a classic pet dressing game, but a game that combines your matching skills with a couple of dogs that need dressing up. Like I said the reason why you will probably play this game is probably because you’re a dog lover so either you want to try these different styles or you would want to know how could your dog look like but don’t want to put him to the ‘torture’ of dressing up. The story of the game isn’t what we would call a stunner as it explains some basic things like how the whole thing started and how it is going to develop. The main character of the game is Pattie (you) who works in a famous dog clothes designer boutique. She is a great designer and almost no one can be matching her, but the problem is that’s what she thinks and everybody else doesn’t care. The closest she has got of designing clothes for the man’s best friend is her current position, as a secretary to the owner and designer of the shop Bernard. But out of nowhere a chance for Patty appears as Bernard was called to major dog dressing even that is on another continent… Bernard left her in charge to manage everything and what else could designer full of ideas need more? With this the gameplay starts and all of the designing will be done through the match 3 as a base and with an addition later with jigsaw puzzle. The guests will start to come by and have their orders taken by you to make their ‘babies’ look fabulous. So the creation begins with the match 3, as every level you play gives you a piece of the puzzle that you need to complete. Every chapter has a certain number of puzzles that you need to collect and then through a jigsaw puzzle combine into the final touch that is the wanted design. All in all one chapter will take you about 20 minutes, depending on the levels of skills you have when it comes to combining and your power of perception. You can then approximately calculate how much of the game you have in front of you, when you are through with the first chapter that is the first dog. There are total of 21 chapters (dogs) so definitely you’ll have at least a couple of hours of gameplay. Every level has a twin goal that needs to be cleared or fulfilled if you will. The first goal of the game is to clear all the blocks through match 3 down to the bottom of the games grid. As the second game goal you have to clear away the green blocks, however they are green on the beginning and then they go blue and so forth… Another thing that we are accustomed to with match 3 is the different grids that appear in all kind of shapes. However this is all ancient as we have seen it before in every match 3 game on the market, and the manufacture introduced something that probably everybody will welcome. Some levels allow you to make matches in chains by simply dragging your mouse in any directional (including diagonally) to remove touching like-symbols from the board, while other levels allow you to remove whole blocks of like-symbols with a single click. But still this is nothing new as there are quite a lot of these games on the casual market; however it does present a great change from the old and standard tile switching. The power-us that you can use in the game all depend on the level on which you are playing as different power-ups are available for each level. All of the power-ups aren’t collected just like that or obtained by matching 4 or 5 blocks. In this game they are recharged by matching tiles of a single type that is a single picture and every power-up has a picture that is connected to it. But there is a catch and an ugly one, as if you don’t use that power up in the level you are in it won’t be transferred to the next level. Like most of the games in this genre it is made for all kind of players, those who want to be challenged and those who don’t want to. Timed and Relax mode are those two factors and players easily select the one that fits them better. The game is full of surprises and most of them are the ones you will like, those that you don’t…well nobody’s perfect! Try it, because the one hour demo surely won’t be enough to please your curiosity what lies behind this game.
