Introduction: When walking through life a man wonders what he could really accomplish if one has tried harder and the results would be much pleasing then the ones you have before you. The list of things that you would correct in your life is probably longer than most of us will admit it, but let’s start with the ‘basic’ material things. On the first place is probably a house that you would live in, or with some it is the car you would be rather driving. But since that is probably way out of our reach if we fantasize what the celebrities and millionaires have, we can only try to get as close as we can to those standards. Lucky for us, especially those with some good imagination, the games are there to correct that all and lead us in a world of luxury that doesn’t have to ever stop. The thing is you can find a game that does this on almost every ‘corner’ of Internet, and so what we are looking for is something to impress us. Gameplay: Villa Banana does just that, but in its own particular way as the game seems to have different type of audience predicted to play it. The goal of the game is probably every person’s dream, and that is to build a villa on a sunny and beautiful beach with full specter of decorations waiting for you to be chosen and put inside/outside of your villa. But the villa won’t be built just like that, as you need to go through 60 levels of match 3 playing, and through those levels you have to obtain the necessary parts for the construction and decoration of the villa. The beginner levels of the game are more than enough generous with its simplicity, but even though from level to level the difficulty increases, the real thing starts when 1/3 of the game has passed by. The general idea of the game is pretty simple as this is a match 3 game, and match 3 is matching the similar/same tiles together. The tiles of interest in this game are the fruits that you see on the board of the game, and like many other match 3 games they also come with a set of different obstacles that need to be taken care of to proceed further. Not to spoil the game for everybody, here are just some of the characteristic of the game that you need to know, for example: You’re matching the same tile (of course), but there are obstacles on the beginner levels in form of silver plates and black balls. Now the silver plates are removable through the match 3 and that is the goal of each level, but the silver plates aren’t the only thing that obstructs your game. The black balls aren’t removable just like that, and therefore they present a much greater obstruction to overcome. They can be only removed by using power-ups and therefore require more and more strategizing over the game advancement as they appear more and more often. Also the silver plates become golden after a while, meaning to get rid of them, you need to match in the vicinity of the plate twice. The power-ups that you will be using are the bombs and the rockets and if you want to use them, think twice before you do, as the rarity of them is quite remarkable compared with the number of times you will need it. The number of moves you can make, or to be precise the number of fields you can move a fruit depends on the number of free spaces on the board, and if there is a way to the location you have in mind to put the specific fruit. Besides the power-ups in the form of bombs and rockets there is one more, but let’s explain one at the time. The bomb is a classic, where when activated it removes all tiles in the surroundings of the impact area. The rockets fire in the direction they point. Use the squares in the board grid to aim the diagonal rockets. The third one is not that much of a power-up then a helping tool. In the grid you will find diamantes in different colors (red, yellow, etc…) and matching a diamond of one color with a fruit of the same color, results in elimination of all of the fruits in that color. But sometimes even that won’t do due to the complexity of the grid or simply because there is no power-ups or help in any form. The point from level 20 and couple of levels forward is probably the crucial one; as if you pass it then you should be able to finish the game without any brainstorming effort. One thing that some of you might miss in this game, is the possibility of diagonal matching of fruits which will play a significant role, especially later in the game. Forgetting about this probably will mean spending all of your power-ups before you can replenish them, and therefore game over. Always make sure you tried every trick in the book before you turn to the power-ups to help you out. Graphics and sound: The graphical part of the game shows the things for what they are, as there is no sense of ‘tuning’ the graphical appearance of this match 3 game, as mostly we are dealing with fruits. The sound is completely different story as it can be captured by your ears very quickly, but it will probably leave as fast as it has been caught due to its short intervals of repetition. All in all a game worthy of at least looking into it, as this is no relaxation game and is made for those who want to strain their brain muscles in solving some of the challenging grids I’ve experienced for some time.
