Aahhh, the legend about the mythical people of Aztecs or is it Mayan? I know what the headline says and what the developer meant, but somewhere through the game you can get a bit confused… Anyway the game itself if pretty straightforward without any larger involving in the game flow so all you will be doing is collecting hidden objects. The game begins with Sarah, the heroine of the game, setting out on a search for her uncle, who is also an archeologist just like she. While she searches for her uncle, she soon discovers that finding him won’t be easy, but the trails that she must follow are all treasures, which helps her a lot in his locating. The game uses a retrospective in this story as the story is told by Sarah, who is on the end of her mission, but a relic hunter named Miguel is keeping her on his gun point, to end all of this, and that’s when Sarah starts to recall all the things that happened to that point. The story, that is the theme of the game is told many times, and pretty much everybody in the casual game world had the acquaintance with the Mayan theme through any of the genres of games, but for surely mostly in the HOG. The main thing that will characterize the story is the fact that you will see a lot of dialogues between the double crossing Miguel and our heroine Sarah. This will keep the story alive and going in times when you fill a huge hole in the games story, however filling out all the blanks it’s impossible. So you are going to play a mixture of hidden object levels with some interactive tasks. The hidden object searches follow the familiar trail. It's a relatively straight forward HOG with a few puzzles and mini-games tossed into the mix. The hidden object sections go the traditional route, giving you a list of objects you need to find before moving on to the next screen. There's a hint system, though it can be somewhat vague at times, not necessarily making it clear where the object is. There are a couple different mini-games to shake up thing as much they can. You will be given jigsaw puzzles to solve, Spot the different games with the standard two pictures searches in what is different unlike the other. You will come across some logic and memory games. What most of us is use to find with mini-games is the fact you can skip it, either by having limited skips or to skip every time you want, or costing you a hint making it recharge again. This game has nothing of it, meaning that you simply have to finish them all. If it is comforting, the mini-games probably won’t challenge you in that way so you get stuck, at least I wasn’t’ challenged. On occasion the game is also unclear with what exactly you need to do to solve the puzzles, especially during the final epilogue sequence. The graphics of the game, is hard to rate as it varies in multiple factors. In some occasions you can sit back and enjoy the games very clearly and nicely done items that will impress you a bit, while you get in a scene with some items that have clearly lost their way into this game, or the game’s visuals crew made a weird mistake. Music was decent, if occasionally inappropriate (generic Jazz in the Prologue doesn't scream mystery). It is up to you to decide is this game for you or not, as everybody has its own taste. You have the facts about the game right above as you probably read it, and you can consult other reviews if you want, but the best reviewer is the player itself. Just download the demo and try it yourself and you will know.
