Playrix Entertainment has come up with this new hidden object game in which you need to play the role of a young wizard named Albert. It can also be termed as an interactive adventure game with a lot of puzzles and mini free games to solve with a few battles to fight. The Magic Key transports the player to a world of surreal fantasies complete with floating sky islands. Albert is a trainee magician at the Academy, a school for conjurers, magicians, sorcerers, and wizards. He sets about on his quest to rescue his sister Lily, restore the Great Key of Eiron and free the land from the evil clutches and spell of the wicked wizard Sibelius. You would have to find items related to your task and you would have to solve puzzles, fix broken machinery, reveal clues, unlock doors, and so on. The list of tasks is displayed in the upper right side corner of the screen. Items are well hidden in the scenes and the task of repairing fantasy gadgets is quite a challenging one. You can skip puzzles and there are unlimited hints to help you with the more difficult objects. But you would have to wait for a few seconds till the hint meter recharges. Along the game, you can collect magical artifacts that can help you in your combat. There are fun mini-game puzzles in this land full of magic and mayhem. These range from the memory game type puzzles to rotating puzzles and even variations to the classical Towers of Hanoi. You can use the items in your inventory on objects in your background and tackle occasional combats. During these monstrous attacks the game converts into a simple strategy game to simulate combat which is a refreshing change. Overall it is a great game for hidden object fans and an excellent example of the finest of artwork.
