SheepArcade editor's review: Successor to Laura Jones and the Gates of Good and Evil, Laura Jones and The legacy of Tesla is a combo of hidden object fun with puzzles and mini games. The story revolves around Laura Jones, a die hard adventuress woman, who is on a trip to Europe to visit her grandmother. On her arrival, she gets her hands on a letter in the name of her grand mother written by the famous inventor Nikola Tesla. And to her surprise, the letter reveals hints to the whereabouts of parts of a machine that can wipe of the problem of energy by providing a clean energy alternative to oil. The entire game play is spread over 14 chapters as a combination of hidden object seeking by silhouette, puzzles and mini-games. The game provokes a lot with its wide variety of challenges like collecting medical supplies to treat a cut finger, logo designing for a jacket and getting hold of escaped chickens to put them back into their cages. In between you will also be playing find out the difference type of puzzles. You can use the feature of zooming in and out the screen to help you spot the differences. Interestingly, you’ll come across the hidden objects of the game scuttling across the screen, mice sticking their heads out from behind furniture, and weather vanes blowing in the wind. All this adds to the game play a humor element and liven it up. Once unlocked, the mini-games can be replayed from the main menu. To list a few, these games include tan grams, gear and string puzzles, and brainteasers involving arranging in the correct order. With a few unexpected twists, Laura Jones and the Secret Legacy of Nikola Tesla is not very much different from other games belonging to the same genre. Though it demonstrates creativity but still it fails to maintain a desired pace with its ancestors in terms of production characteristics and glaze. At times hidden objects would blend with the background. You would really have to count on the hit and trial method in such cases. But since wrong clicks have no penalty associated and unlimited clues, you wouldn’t mind taking chances. However, the mini games would not let you do away with them so easily. If you plan to skip any of these, you’ll have to compensate by taking up a hidden object challenge instead. Audio visuals are just satisfactory. Nothing special about them and the sound gives a novice felling. Overall, the game play lasts for a longer time than the previous Laura Jones game. Rest more or less is the same.
