Introduction:
So many games on the market and so many genres and manufactures out there are just constantly creating new games that it’s becoming hard to find them all, especially to review them, as you can’t figure out anymore which ones are good and which ones stink… This might sound lame but we are more and more faced with developers that use their name to place new games that really don’t have anything to look for in the casual games world, but only in the Recycle Bin. This usually happens with the creation of a game that is very well made and the number of flaws and bugs can be accounted on one hand with a finger or two left… But after that the developer releases a couple of games that quite a few levels below the game that made them popular, and then again a release of a good game and so forth… So this time we have a game that has been tried to be made a couple of times, but failed almost every time as the genre itself is made out of multiple sub-genres of time management games making the whole thing much interesting.
Gameplay:
Airport(s) is the theme here and one that should be taken very seriously if you haven’t had any fun games on your list. Serious and fun doesn’t go into a sentence together but here it does as the game has been seriously made for players to enjoy their time playing this game due to its very nice list of features it provides you for playing. When the game starts you are introduced with the game and here is my own description: You start from the first airport and there is no specific number of levels in this game, only the number of airports you need to finish. To continue from one airport to another you must fill all the four stars that the airport requires of you. To acquire a star you need to fill three different bars in the game and to fill those bars you need to perform different actions. This presents one of two main gameplay sub-genres that you will experience here. The other one is about managing the people on the airport by compelling some of their demands or to be more precise some of their plans how would they want that their vacations or trips look like while they are waiting at the airport and then through different mini-games fulfill all of their requests. One of the bars that you need to fill is the excitement bar, and you fill it by preparing the passengers for their trip and giving them what they want while they are waiting. The patience meter is going along as they are waiting and for you not to lose them you have a counter in the game that enables you to restore their patience by giving them what they want, like going to a restaurant. The appeal bar is all about the upgrades and how will the passengers enjoy their travels. And finally the satisfaction bar is the final stage when you send the passengers to different locations you have offered in the game. Per airport you have four locations on which you can send them and it is up to you to decide where. After you fill all of the three bars you have then completed one star and need another three to finish the first airport and continue to the next one. Every new star means new upgrades, new stations and new customers providing you with more and more variety in the game and as a direct result you won’t be able to feel bothersome at any moment during the game. As new stations are unlocked in the game, so does the whole strategy and management part of the game shows up. You will need to start planning ahead in the game as the content of the game is expanding. Drag the characters of the game from one station to another so you can keep up with the rest of the game. Doing all of this will automatically unlock different achievements and trophies in the game where some of them are gotten along the way, while others will require much more effort so you can unlock them. The game is now without a flaw however, as the content of the game especially the upgrades remain the same. The rest of the content, mostly locations of traveling repeat themselves from airport to airport. It would have been nice if they have changed this part too, but still the game provides many things. On the beginning of the game you will decide one of the three difficulties that you want to play. If you have played time management games before and have some experience on this filed you can easily select the hardest mode for a challenge that is not too challenging. It looks like the game is mostly planned to attract new players to the TM genre and it is made in that way so that beginners can be introduced with the time management game genre.
Graphics and sound:
The graphics and audio of the game is simply for praise. The details have no edges that are not smooth, and the background details simply amplify the game with some beautiful drawings. The characters are drawn with lovely contours that show you the details invested in this game. All put together a game full of virtues and with two flaws that are not really flaws when you look at other games and what critical error developers make when making games. Enjoy it…
