Youda Safari editor's review

Youda game developer has made games in different themes, and by that they started developing their reputation from the beginning to this point where we can freely say that they accomplished something that is not negligible. This time their attention is concentrated to only one thing, the Safari zone. Youda Safari is here to give us a taste of something that someone rarely is able to see, in their natural environment, animals on their own territory. The first of the newness that this release has to offer, starts from the very beginning, with the introduction of the story to the game, as the previous version didn’t have, or had them but done in a unnoticed way. The story compared to nowadays games is pretty shallow, bas every games needs a start when introducing something new, and this one is a great one. You play as Lucy, who agrees to help out her friend with sprucing up his safari. Every greater safari in the world is in eminent danger, with the money going low you are going into mission impossible (so it seems), and try to do everything in your power to made things right, as what awaits safaris in the case of closing down is pure hunting of animals, after so much effort of keeping them alive and well. Lucy’s travel starts from America and then spreads to South America and then Europe, etc… The gameplay of the game is very simple and much known for time management fans, as you are been given a task to complete in the fastest possible way and shortest amount of time. Here you will drive customers and visitors around the Safari map and fulfill their needs and demands, which go beyond only animals. The beginner levels are easy; in fact they are too easy. There are a couple of customers in the back of your vehicle and giving you their demands in the form of balloons floating above their heads. You are then analyzing the situation and deciding the best possible route to take which will require the smallest amount of backtracking to the places you’ve already visited or passed by. Like I said the first are easy and they won’t be much of a challenge to any player that is a fan of the genre. But as most of the games as you advance through the game you will encounter more complicated tasks, as the positions of the animals are constantly changing and new animals are added too. Besides the animals you are also given more passengers to drive around and making you decision in which route to take more complicated. You’ll also gain additional modes of transportation like a hot air balloon and a swan boat. Like in every time-management game the customers have their patience that mustn’t be toyed with, as making them happy is the main goal of the game. If you tempt their patience then you’ll suffer the consequence which is this case, not paying for the tour. You need to drive them around, so they can see all the animals they want to see, also they will want to photograph them. Additionally, you'll also have to be on the lookout for obstacles that will block the road and animals that occasionally need to be fed. As you move along in the game, you'll earn both money and stars. Money is used to upgrade your park, while stars are used to unlock new stages. All in all a pretty nice game, especially for the time-management genre, with very nice game content, but unfortunately the gets too much acquainted after the first hour or two. The game has a nice touch to it, and the younger players might enjoy this game probably the most, but that doesn’t mean that the rest of us shouldn’t sit down and at least play the demo, especially with those cartoon graphics. It might not be done to the max quality but every region is done fairly in its own way. The best graphics of the game is done with the animals, which are done probably perfectly. The game won’t be everybody’s number one choice, but giving it a try takes you only a couple of MB to download and a bit time…
