Stationed in a newly established Roman province, your job as governor is to bring the region into the Roman fold by developing a thriving capital city, extensive trade networks, and of course a secure environment through the creation of a powerful military. You'll also need to funnel some of the city's wealth back to Rome. If you are successful, you'll advance up the empire's political ladder, and continue to take on new assignments in other locations spread throughout the ancient world, such as Sicily, Spain, Britain, Germany, Romania, Greece, Asia Minor, Judea, and Egypt. As the city grows from a simple village to a bustling cosmopolitan city, so too do your challenges and responsibilities increase. Your ultimate goal is to rise among the political ranks of the empire, and become Caesar yourself.

Caesar is poisoned and there's no potion strong enough in the world of mortals to cure him of the affliction. His daughter Julia is in despair but General Victorius believes that the Gods might have a cure and so, sets out on a long journey to their kingdoms. It won't be easy however because building the path through the lands of the Barbarians is dangerous work. Help Victorious clear the way and build a path to the Gods in order to retrieve the healing potion. Command his workers to construct roads, build structures, establish towns, and more in 41 demanding levels. Gather necessary resources such as wood, stone, and food to continue the trek, keeping an eye out for dangerous barbarians and deadly creatures. Travel through strange new environments, overcome natural disasters, and help appease the Gods and their demands. If you succeed, Caesar will be grateful and the Gods are sure to smile down on the citizens of Rome.
