Pirates were known as the tremble of all the seas. A couple of centuries ago pirates were the most feared menace on the seven seas. No one was able to face them except the world government, but they had a great weakness. They were fighting amongst themselves, but before they were reduced to almost unimportant numbers, they made a great impact to history. Now, almost forgotten, they were returned from oblivion, to shine again in a world of movies, comics, cartoons and of course games. Pirate games are not limited to only one genre, in fact they can be found in a couple of genres. They are mostly represented together with RPG games, or in a combination, but you can find also HOG type pirate games. There are also games with full pirate themes, and by that we mean we get to experience all the action, like a true pirate. You can be a captain, coronel, lieutenant, or anyone aboard the ship, and you can make your way through by distinguishing yourself in battles, or fulfilling your duties with excellent work, like helping to find the buried treasures, or helping others in need. Depending on the type of game, you will come across different levels of graphic quality. In the RPG type, you’ll find games with ships like little miniatures of the real thing, fighting against each other on the open sea, with solid made graphic surroundings, yet better ranked games, type of third person game. You’ll definitely see some great details, rendered pretty well, and as a result you get small details which make a pirate game look spectacular. Some of the examples are: parrots whistling and talking, people with eye patches, bottles of rum lying all across the deck, and cannon balls being stocked up and ready to fire near a cannon. Pirate games are the change a gamer needs from time to time, to get out from the slowly and steadily repeating games genres which won’t irk you after a while.
