“Law and Order”, or “To serve and protect” are mottos that our police forces use as a symbol to show the world that they are our shield. As there are other occupations that kids use for role models, to become a policeman is certainly the most dreamt dream of most of the children. But for dreams to be realized sometimes you must spend your entire life in realizing them, while in this case it asks from you complete physical training through your life, and special education that makes you prepared for all of this, but of course there is a little shortcut… To experience life of a cop (policeman) you can enter his/hers world by playing police games, but what do you want to be in the police, a traffic cop, a policeman in uniforms, detective, or a lieutenant, or even the chief of the police. Those were the ranks you can get in the police force (or at least some of them), but what do you want to do in the police? Like previously said, working as a traffic cop is the lowest rank, but those games are almost gone and now the next rank, policeman. There are hundreds and in the bigger cities thousands of interventions everyday throughout the city where different crimes are committed. From petty thefts, to grand theft auto there is always something to work on in the police force. In this kind of police games you drive a police car in a hunt on the fleeing criminal. There are lots of games in this car chasing police genre, and the game play depends, of course, from the manufacture. There are lots of online games where you play as the police in chasing them down, but they are mostly made in poor graphic details. There is a small number of racing games which give the option of driving a police car, picked out between the newest and strongest cars on the market, specially tuned for police forces, and they are called Interceptors. Another popular police game is circling around the town and being the eye in the sky for the police units by flying a helicopter. The recent games that are becoming more popular, thanks to the TV series are forensics games. They are becoming more and more wanted as you take a roll of a police-forensic in clearing of the crime scene and securing the evidence for the police. We also can’t forget police games where you are a FBI agent, or CIA, or homeland security. All of those agencies known, and unknown, are at least partially part of the police games, they only have to be found…
