Even though snakes are very dangerous animals if encountered somewhere in the wild and especially if they bite you in our game world, snakes give a whole new meaning to their name. In the wild snakes eat rats, mice, bunnies or the much bigger ones especially Anaconda can eat even a horse. In snake games the goal of the game is similar like in the real life, but with one exception, our snake with every bite gets longer and longer. It doesn’t eat animals. In the first snake games it was just few connected dots that where getting bigger for a single dot as you picked up another dot on your way. At the beginning it’s always easy and before the game begins you could select how fast the snake would move. Picking the lowest level is normally the case, but the more experienced players usually start at least from the middle level. As you advance through the game and the snake is getting bigger, it also gets faster to the highest level and that’s where the things heat up. Besides tremendous speed you must look out on your tail because if you touch it or if you touch the screens edges you will lose. This game was mostly played on small consoles, with black and white screens. But since then a couple of years has passed and everybody, at least the fans, welcomed the new version of the snake game, because of its extraordinary accessories. For example, Snake 3D is the best example to explain how you can combine old and new technologies into complete new game that works. Some just wouldn’t give up on the old game while others requested new play modes. That’s why a game has been made that offers you to play a classical snake with the same game play but with all new kind of graphics. Like you have a “real” snake crawling around in a grass field collecting bonuses and points and both of them are new and different and the new additions give the game a nice kick. But to feel the real effect of those bonuses, you have to select another mode besides the classical, like Adventure mode. Here is a complete other story, but with the same characteristics. Here if you hit a brick wall (limitations to where you can move) you won’t lose, rather it gets confused and you can continue playing. If you accidently eat through your tail you also won’t lose, but you will lose on length, which is the primary goal of the game, to achieve a certain length so you can advance further. The Adventure mode gives you the opportunity to cross several levels in a couple of areas which can extend the game pretty good. There are bonuses like speeding up, extra life, because even if you can’t lose life the old fashioned way, there is a timer and your object must be completed within that time. Other bonuses are Potion, Slowing down and they are bad because potion takes away your points. There are some neutral, like changing the direction of moving the snake from one end to another. Snake games aren’t what they used to be, they are better, yet still if you can’t leave alone the old fashioned way of playing you are also included to play into the new snake versions.
