Mentaris 2 is a decent side-scrolling Japanese Shooter. There are no menus to use so you don't have to worry about confusing options written in Japanese. Mentaris 2 unfortunately consists of only 1 level, but it is still worth playing. As with most side-scrolling shooter games, you fly along and destroy anything in your path while protecting yourself from all the bullets and objects being shot at you. You have a selection of three weapons. A sword, a spear or a bow. You use the A, S, D keys to select your weapon and the X key to shoot. Mentaris 2 can be quite difficult at first because everything moves really fast. Then just as you're getting the hang of the game, it's all over. At the end of the level you will have to fight the main boss. As with most Japanese games available, the graphics, sounds and gameplay are of a very high standard.
