Slingo is something that every game addict needs to play at least once in a life time, as a game similar to a bingo game it is not to underestimate in its wide content of fun and challenge. Most of the nowadays games are made so that users can test their skills, their ability to adapt to certain games, and with some games to enhance their skills through does games, depending on what type of game is it. Slingo is totally different, making the games core structure depending on how lucky you are, and that is mostly the point of the game. Now that Slingo is back, this release is a true successor to its roots, as Slingo Mystery was a game combining slingo puzzles, hidden object and a bit of adventure games, this Slingo has picked up where Slingo Quest Hawaii left of. This time the theme of the game is Egypt, make the whole premise a bit mysterious. Every visual aspect of the game is now part of Egyptian culture, like the pyramids, sphinxes, a Cairo bazaar, cats, scarabs and all the wonderful stuff of the Nile. The whole graphics of the game is set so that is full of different colors making you enter a world that looks like it has been made by children (for adults that is). This whole premise was set up for one purpose only and that is to leads us toward our objective: Pyramid Slingo; purportedly the most sublime game of bingo-meets-slots this side of the Nile. For the ones that are just being introduced to Slingo here are a couple of pin points to get around: like previously said, most of the game is based on luck, so I hope you have it enough when you will be playing this game. But besides luck, strategy will play a significant role in the world of Slingo. On your screen, a board of different numbers will be shown to you, resembling very much to a bingo card. Beneath the board is a line of circles filled with numbers, one for each column of the grid. This is where the slots part of the game comes in, besides the bingo, as have to spin those slots now, and you can do it 20 times per game. Spinning them will show you different numbers that are shown in the circles below, that you will try to find in the board above. If the number that was shown to you isn’t in the column above, you don’t have to search across the whole board for that number, because it can be cleared only it that column. The object of the game is generally to clear lines (“slingos”), specific patterns, and, if possible, the whole card. Because of its tendency for relying on luck, most of player could thing what happens in cases when numbers just aren’t coming out? Besides the limited number of spins you can get per game, your options are in that case pretty limited. But by the testing on the players who have played it, it doesn’t present such a problem as the game is made to satisfy player’s everyday urge for digital distraction of the real world. This sounds kind of boring, and when someone read only until here it is a bit, but the game offers much more to keep you interested, including couple of different challenges that include modifying the board and objectives to complete. You will find yourself in situations where you will be challenged in a way that the whole board will be spread more than the standard 5x5 field or besides the simple number clearing, in the style of the Egyptian theme, you will have to clear of hieroglyphics instead of number increasing the difficulty to a whole new level. Because the games secondary goal is to collect point in the game, you can also do that by accomplishing different sorts of objectives that are given through the game. They come in different shapes, like you can win a certain amount of points for clearing the level in a certain period of time, or clearing a certain number of slingos, or finding hidden objects somewhere in the board. As for the power-ups in the game they can be obtained on the board or through spinning. There are two kinds of power-ups you can use in the game. Most of them are mostly temporary as they work for a brief time period, for example some of them will give you extra points for every match you make during the time it is activated, while others will give you additional spins, which is probably the most useful power-up as additional spins are always needed. There is one more that shows you the number you need by highlighting it for a brief period of time. The other type of power-ups is more of a long term, as you decide when to use them. One of them is similar to the temporary one, as you can get additional spin here too, while others can highlight you positions of other power-ups and hidden coins in the game and that’s where the strategy part is involved in the game, as how well will you use those power-ups. The other thing that can help, but also hinder you in finishing your level is the mini-games. In every mini-game devil appears the one who stole the Pyramid Slingo board, and challenges you in betting your earned points. You can select how many points you can bet, but this option is a doubled edged sword. To win this mini-game, Devil will challenge you in a find the difference games, like showing you playing cards and then you have to find out the one which wasn’t there, or giving you a set of three images, making you find one single difference between them and other games also… Basically it is a fun game for you to spend your day testing how lucky you are today, but it can get a bit annoying in situations when you have one character to clear, with couple of spins and neither of them shows up as the one you need. Hope this doesn’t happen to you, but it is all part of a game that you just have to play and enjoy in its weird sense of relaxation. Click here to open game download page!
