A Magnetic Adventure
Game description:
Welcome to the Academy of Magnetism where life, as a magnet, is anything but repulsing. Here you will learn knowledge about magnetic forces passed down from generation to generation and how they can manipulate a variety of mechanisms. Once you have learned all that can be taught, you are welcomed to stay and teach other young magnets these laws of attraction. First, however, you will have to open safes, repair clocks, activate teleports, and much more in 50 innovative brainteasers. Using a click-and-drag simplicity, you will master realistic physics to get you through to the next challenge. If you can't get past them, don't worry because there is a hint button. But where's the fun in that? Sheeparcade exclusive review:
Since I can remember back to when I was a kid I was always on the search for new toys to play with or something to do that could be played with. Magnets where one of my favorites as I don’t know why but they attracted me just they attracted each other. They were suddenly an irreplaceable toy for any child and like many other people using magnets can keep you busy for some time. Alawar Games came with the idea of using this man’s obsession and turning it into something virtual and much more fun. The manufactures came up with an idea in which the players will be thinking a lot and creating possible solution in their heads. The general idea is using different contraptions that are made in a form of different puzzles and the magnet that does all the work is located in your mouse pointer. Basically everything about the game spins around you using magnetic force and magnetic laws in your behalf. The game goes using your magnet to move the metal objects inside of a puzzle so you can move the non-metal like wooden, creating a chain reaction that will at the end lead to the wanted result. This subtle layering of puzzles is one of A Magnetic Adventure’s strongest assets, providing both variety and challenge. The ways that you will be using magnetic force might surprise you in many ways as it can be used, at least inside of the game. As for some of the puzzles in the game you will get both good and bad surprises. The good ones prevail, however there are some puzzles where you won’t be able to put your finger on what really needs to be done, causing you some difficulty. After some period of time a solution will present itself, but the road to it will probably be built on wild guesses and assumptions. Levels are unlocked groups at a time, allowing you to hop between a set of stages in case you get stuck. At the end of each map you'll get to complete a special puzzle stage with a different gimmick, most of which are at interesting (and quirky) enough to break up the straight cerebral gameplay. The main point of the game is getting the “Totems” back where they are meant to be standing. You need to put them in their natural position and that is the condition for continuing to the next level. All of this is explained though a tutorial which is provided with the game. In the reviews I read and wrote I mostly hear about tutorials poorly written, and when a game manufacture explains everything and more than you need to know to get you started people complain about everything is ‘too great’… I just can’t figure these persons out. Anyway, the five Totems give you five stages where you try to locate the map of the worlds behind the Totems. After the first initial stages you are thrown around that worlds maps and the level selection is random so jumping from one difficulty to another will become a common thing. What will maintain this game so interested is the fact that different puzzles in the game are made in such a way that more and more interest is shown towards them. This will challenge you in many ways and keep providing challenges for the rest of the game. The biggest objection in this game is a level when you are faced with total darkness. You have to deal with that darkness using a single torch which you will move through the level the same way as al objects. The problem is that the torch has a small range of illumination so you will be especially careful with this one. To conclude all of this together you have a game with over 50 brainteasers that will keep you on your toes for hours, with opening safes, repairing clocks, activating teleports, and much more… Just in case you get stuck somewhere in the game there is a hint system to help you out of that situation, but what’s the point of playing such a game in which all you do is develop your brain muscles and then you ruin it all with just a click. The game will provide, definitely with plenty of content and challenge for any player it is only up to you to sit down and play. Click here to open game download page!
