Sheeparcade exclusive review:

Even if this is a new release of the game, only the ones who play 3 Cards to Midnight will see and recognize the full potential of the game. The ones who played the previous game know what happened before in the Midnight part, and here is a quick in view for the games story: Jill discovers her new power; she uses them to track down the people who murdered her parents and the odd disappearance of her grandmother. By doing this she totally neglected her life, especially her boyfriend. Now, the man who killed her parents is trying to track her down and locate and on the top of all of this is that her boyfriend is running low on patience to stay with her…(such a tragedy) As the game begins you will discover this isn’t a standard Hidden object game that you are normally costumed too. Hidden objects are all cleverly combined with word puzzle games but in more of wordplay then a game. Rather than simply find items for a list, you had to deduce what in the scene made a phrase when combined with a given word. You will be given a word that is a fragment of a bigger word. You can get the word day and will have to find out what is it about, happy birthday or Today, or the word night like the previous release part of the games headline Midnight. These examples are relatively easy, and don’t need some special brain power, but there will be examples where you will have to think hard, and if you aren’t acquainted with the English grammar and vocabulary you will experience some nasty problems. You already know if you are going to feel the full potential of the game 3 cards to Midnight, must be played or you won’t feel all the charms of the game. There will be a couple of different other word puzzles that will describe what you need to find but only in theory. It is up to you to find out what is it about, like discovering every item that is connected to the Zodiac, in terms of the signs which represent it. It still requires some thought on your part, as the relationships aren't always immediately obvious, but it makes for far fewer situations where you're forced to use a hint simply because you've never heard a particular phrase before. Every chapter of the game has a couple of different locations you must search, and every location in the game has two or three different types of items you must find. With lots of possibilities of mistaking, and mistakes you will make, the game offers up to nine mis-clicks. If you fulfill your quota you will be forced of starting the level from the beginning. And that happens every time until you get it right. One thing that eases the whole game is the hint system. Unfortunately we aren’t talking about a self-recharging system in time, rather in points. Collecting 100 points you will earn an additional hint, but to get that 100 points you must first find a couple of hidden items, and as the harder the item is to find the more points you will get when you find it. The challenge of the game lies pretty much in deciding whether the items you have collected apply to a category that has been given to you to finish. The most important thing you must watch when going through categories is swapping between them. Crossing from one category to another while the first one is active counts as a mis-click and will be added to the nine possible mis-clicks, so you better watch out. The game offers a nice variety of puzzles in the game and not all of them are a piece of cake. You will struggle with some of them as the difficulty of the puzzles can get pretty intense. Every puzzle is skip-able, but skipping puzzles means fewer points in the overall score for you. If you are in the mood for some puzzle games later in the game, you can play them all from the beginning, the ones you already played and the ones you didn’t. This game won’t have you WOW-ed, by the graphics of the game, as in that sector it could use a little polish, but what will attract the gamers to this game is definitely the difficulty of the game, as it has been set in 3 levels: easy, challenge and gamer. Only the ones with the best skills will dare to play the game in the gamer mode, and test everything they got in the 3 Cards to Dead Time.
