Sheeparcade exclusive review:

Everybody has made some mistakes in their past, and some confront it, but some try to run away from it. Jade Rousseau is a person which decided to run away from it, as she thought it was better that way. She moves to a town called Sant’ Antonio, as she accepted a job there in the local police station, but what she stumbles on to in this quiet little town will be sure to change her life! She got her experience on the street, and her cunningness, but even that couldn’t prepare her for what is about to happen to her. Before even she got to the police station trouble started to follow her there. On her way, an avalanche started and she was buried under it. When she finally arrives to the police station, she is given a burglary case as this is one of the harder crimes in that area. The case of burglary soon evolves into something big that even she couldn’t predict. From the small Italian town of Sant' Antonio all the way to Rome, and even into the secret recesses of the Vatican itself! As she starts digging deeper, she only realizes that more and more people are involved, including the headmen of the church. The surprising twists in the game will occur before your eyes, and yet you won’t believe it. On your journey collect evidence, put the pieces together; decipher ancient codes and symbolism as a mixture of hidden object finding and mini-games. The actual gameplay is solid if not entirely original. Most of your time will be spent searching crime scenes for clues and other objects, which gets progressively harder as you move along in the game. You’ll start searching for smaller and smaller items as the game continue. Soon, you will discover games taste in fun, as in the final scenes of a chapter, you will be looking for microscopic sized items, and yet the items have a huge size. This can get you pretty fooled as the hint system doesn’t work in some critical story turn points. Normally it recharges very quickly and you will have it on your disposal (almost) always. The hint system is integrated within Jade’s mobile phone, and when it is ready for usage you will her a music tone from it. You will find that the mini-games of the game are not that good as the game and the game’s story. They aren’t bad, but they’ve become a standard for nowadays HOG’s. But when it comes to the integration with the story, every mini-game is connected with the part of the game in which it’s found. Spot the difference games will have you poring over crime scenes to see just what happened, while matching games will have you comparing fingerprints against one another to determine who the culprit might be. If you get stuck with any of the puzzles or you simply don’t feel like playing, there is always the skip button if you want to use it. But be careful with your choices and conclusions, as powerful mysteries will surely be protected at all costs by powerful people! As you will be searching through every scene very thoroughly, you will start to notice the beautifully drawn background pictures and the details of those pictures. The characters are a masterpiece for themselves, but the thing is that, there is no animation to the characters. All of the characters are still pictures, and even though they are beautifully drawn, it would be nice to see at least some animation like in their mood change or something… The game sound is nothing less neglected. You will hear that the voices of the characters are done pretty good, every single one of them. The sound track of the game is something that must also be mentioned, as they put their effort too there. This is the first part of a game of six episodes, and if they started this good with the first part, they in the future we can expect only better and better story, gameplay and graphics and sound too.
