There are lots of mahjong games on the market. Most of them are free, and they are easy to find, but finding a mahjong game that is different from other mahjong games is a bit of a challenge. Here we have a normal mahjong game done in the Egyptian style. While you travel across Egypt you will come across different layouts and different suits, as you move from one location to another. While you visit each location there will be a quick summary about the place you are in, with few sentences. It would have been nice if the game developers have added some pictures that are classical for Egypt and by which it is famous. There are numerous bonus tiles that pop up in each layout. They all differ in their effects on the field of tiles. One will swap two tiles that you select, another that is called wild, and can be used for matching with anything, one that will show you available matches, and many others. You will get an explanation for every part of the game, including the bonus tiles, but as there are plenty of them, and it will take some time for you to remember them all. As you start the gameplay you will certainly make some mistakes in choosing the right one and by then you will realize about some wasted bonus tiles, but hey we learn on our errors. The games interface is very useful through the game. It shows you constantly how much tiles you have to match and of course which hints you have on your disposal and of course shuffle board option. Every time you shuffle the board or click on the hint button, the game adds time to your total. The game doesn’t have any achievements or awards that you can win, so you don’t have to worry about using the hints and shuffle options too much, if you think they will diminish the score. The graphics are nice, nothing too much sort of speaking. It is easy to play and has both adventure mode and classic mode. The adventure mode has 15 different levels to challenge you, but that won’t represent a great challenge for you. As for the Classic mode, with over 300 layouts, 11 variations and with 3 difficulty settings it can provide with enough challenge for you to start thinking and watching very, very carefully. Another thing that the game offers is unlocking different tile sets, which you can change whenever you want to, additional background pictures and if you got the will for it, you can create your very own levels. This game isn’t something that is much different from other mahjong games, but with some of the details that are added it presents at least some sort of additional fun and challenge for you to experience.
