Sheeparcade exclusive review:

Through history there are many examples of good and bad rulings over kingdoms and their successes. Sometimes a realm can last for ages just to be put down by some selfish and greedy king or queen. In history such an example could be King Henry VIII, which is much known in history by bad things, but also his two daughters. After him ruled his first daughter Mary aka Bloody Mary, and after her Queen Elizabeth I; you get the picture. In this game we have a similar scenario as the kingdom was blossoming like never before, until the king died and his brother took over which brought the kingdom into a new dark era. For 18 years the evil king ruled the land (if you can call that reign) and everything is in a state it just can’t get any worse. The son of the king that ruled before returns now to his kingdom with the intention of taking over the throne and continue from where his father was when he died, with being now able to make his decisions by himself. But the road to getting there isn’t quite easy… The people are in a desperate need and they need help at once from food, shelter and most of all protection. Your mission is to provide all of that to them and make sure every village in the kingdom is also built, secured and supplied like every other. The games focus is generally turned to the building in the game. The sequel to the game is a very similar to the first part of the game, as a lot of games features of the first part have been also used in the second part; however graphics are different, keeping up with the time. Anyway you must do all of these chores for the villagers, that are previously mentioned and you do that by building different building in the village you are currently located. You increase the level of population, as they are the most important thing to you, because they are the source of your main resource, gold. Besides gold you will need other resources like wood, stone and additional workers. Gold increases every few moments via tax collection. There are 2 game modes: timed and untimed. In either mode, you can strive to finish each level in a certain amount of time to obtain a gold, silver or bronze trophy. In the untimed mode, if you don't finish in time, the game keeps going on (you won't have to start over). The general point of the game is to go from village to village and rebuild it to the former state it was once, but now the threats are even greater… The villagers are there to harvest for food and supply the whole village, but threats like monsters are slowly but surely coming in your way to attack the village and destroy it to their grounds. That’s why you will be building barracks all over the village so you can summon for your heroes who will defend the village and the villagers. Besides the heroes you can also call for mages. When monsters attack your soldiers will deal with them automatically using ranged attack, but with more severe cases of monsters an all-out attack is inevitable. But when things get rough, there couple of strategies you can use to boost your defenses, like building a mage tower, which increases the power of the mages adding to the attack power and unlocking more powerful spells. Since the villages can get pretty similar with missions, in specific villages you will start to get announcements about ending of the peace treaty with the monsters and they are going to full attack themselves. You won’t have BIG problems with them separately, but when they start attacking together, you will need all of your power. The game's design falls somewhere between casual building games and, thanks to the combat situations, a real-time strategy title. The graphics of the game could be given a very solid grade, but there are some oversights in the games core graphics. For example when you are attack and your building take damage, until the full collapse of the building you won’t notice anything wrong with the building visually. This will require from you a bit of physical work with mouse clicking, as you will be mostly clicking on every building separately to see if it needs fixing. This isn’t a big problem with smaller places, but with big cities… But besides this the game will provide with magnificent story and some really nice gameplay, full of action and excitement that will last for hours.
