When it comes to wars, they were always a nasty thing, especially as I’m a war child, and I can remember some things from my past, but this isn’t a war between countries and people, its worse. It is a war between women, well more girls then women. There is a cookie war ravaging across from neighborhoods to the great cities and they will stop and nothing in fulfilling their goals, to take over the whole world (neighborhoods and cities) with their delicious cookies and tactics in annihilation of their enemies. The battlefield is set, the means and ways of battles are set, and all there is left for you to find is the people (in our case girls) which will go to war with you together. There are five main clubs in the region which are fighting for power and only one can get to the throne of being the best. Every club is special for because of the part of USA they come from: the Boston Young Achievers (nicknamed the “Nerds”) of New England, the Dixie Baby Belles (“Hicks”) of the South, the Kansas Rascal Dodgeball League (“Jocks”) of the Midwest, the Li’l Seattle Goths (“Goths”) of the Pacific Northwest and the South Beach Spirit Squad (“Cheer”) of the West Coast. Every one of those teams is like previously said unique and has besides different outfits, different ways of entering a combat. When the game begins a tutorial has been given to you to read it, but sadly it doesn’t contain enough information to have you prepared for the coming battles, so I’m afraid you’re pretty much on your own. For those who might experience the game beginning as poor, or unchallenging or unfitting for that matter that can only be said for the beginning, because the hole girl wars stuff which can repel many people turns out to be some much more, requiring plenty of strategic thinking. The whole country is divided into smaller regions and the regions or areas are split into neighborhoods and the number of those neighborhoods varies from one area to another. The girls are your weapon of mass destruction and they get their orders from you. The general goal is to wrest control of the neighborhoods from rival cookie clubs. You assign girls to each neighborhood, which then attack adjacent neighborhoods. The winner is mostly determined by the number of girls which are attacking or defending themselves, and the winner is the groups with the larger number of girls within it. When you’re finished attacking, you may re-assign girls across your neighborhoods, especially to beef up defenses along your borders. But that’s the good part of the game, but now comes the bad part. When I say bad, I don’t mean bad as bad game, I mean bad for the players as the enemies fight back as your turn is over. They assemble their forces and start their attack on you. So you better be well equipped with the number of troops at your disposal or you will lose the previously won neighborhoods. Conquering a neighborhood means more soldiers for you to join your ranks in defending your territory, but the neighborhoods that you should be conquering the most are the ones which have schools in their premise. The extra boost of troops is always welcome. The goals that you need to fulfill are very familiar in the war tactical games like Unreal Tournament and other similar games, like capture the flag, or taking over all of the territory, hitting them where they have the strongest defenses, and finally taking over their HQ. I found it very clever how the game offers an option of ‘teleport’ in which you can sneak in your enemy’s territory unnoticed by simply using a bus. The game kicker, well at least for the first few levels were the scenes in between the fights, where you get to see the fights animated in a video. With this you can see how the battle is progressing, but you can’t interrupt it, if it starts going badly for you. There is an option for fast forwarding these in between scenes if you don’t feel like watching them to the end. Also the difficulty of the game will increase as the game advances but not in such a way that will test you to your max, but more in a way to challenge you enough to keep you focused and entertained in the game. A lot of achievements and prizes are waiting for the winners of the game, and some trophies for being the best in completing the scores that the developer has set in equal or better result. The game isn’t for kids, as it’s too complicated for them, but more the little hackers and teenagers and adults to kill time when they have spear. Click here to open game download page!
