Everybody at least sometimes in their life has tried s hot dog. Some say it’s junk, unhealthy, bad for your stomach, and maybe they are wright, but who can withstand that delicious taste when grabbing the first bite and then it just slips down the throat. Mmmmmm, but include a famous TV star running a reality show, 15 top chefs and New York’s most wanted fast food, you get a serious challenge which only the best can manage. Manhattan, New York the Brooklyn Bridge, New Yankee Stadium and the Graffiti Museum and other 12 locations through the city are the battleground where they will see who is better. 15 chefs, 15 locations and 15 weeks; you are one of the chefs competing for the trophy ‘The Golden Hotdog’ and only the best chef will get it, that is the one that makes the most profit in those 15 weeks. As there is no character control in the game the only thing you do is click and keep an eye on everything. You start normally with only Hot Dogs, and as the customers arrive you must prepare the hot dog, and the bun. While it cooks you will wait until it changes color, and then you will know it is ready for serving. Double click on the hot dog and it goes straight for the bun, after which you click on the prepared hot dog and then the customer. There are other meals that can be prepared besides hot dogs including burgers with various ingredients, fries, different beverages, and deep-fried corn. Because this is a TM game a lot of these things will need to be prepared before the customers arrive because they can’t wait forever, and not to mention when they just keep pouring in. The goal of the game is to collect enough money in each level so you can proceed to the next one. With 100 levels you will definitely have something to do and won’t get bored by doing it. But there are a couple of things you must watch out. When the customers are paying for the hot dog or something else they have bought you won’t get a new customer until you collect the money from the counter that is you click on it. But leaving it just like that isn’t wise at all too. There are a couple of thieves always walking around waiting for their chance to steel your money. You will recognize them by the whistling, as they are passing by your stand and they will grab your money if you don’t click on it before they take it. If you fail to click on the money you have a slight time window to click is it a customer or thief before they leave the area. Clicking on thief makes him return the money to you right away. The thing I personally like about this game is that even if there aren’t much different personalities through the game, which is kind shames, there are other additions that try to keep up with that. You will come across customers which only show up and say: “I will have the usual”. Normally that isn’t a problem, as there is a question mark by the balloon floating above their head in which states what they want, and clicking on it gives you the answer, but the next time you better remember the answer as you will get bonus points for not looking on the question mark. There is the occasional celebrity, who will please other customers, and one rather unclean customer, who will drive those near to him away. So be careful to earn as much cash as you can at every level because in between the levels you will be using that cash to buy additional upgrades like the ones mentioned on the beginning of the review. There are a couple of nice challenges through the game like making 7 burgers in 35 seconds; and something similar, all with the goal to see who is the best chef in New York and who will won the trophy. The graphics of the game isn’t something special you can brag about, as it is based on a former flash player game, but for a time killing spree it is a nice game, but it is up to you to decide whether you like it or not. Try the demo then decide. Click here to open game download page!
