Now you can look this game from many perspectives, as being boring to you or providing some great time. Usually this is with most of the games out there on the market, but here it depends on different criteria as I can hardly imagine my mom who cooks all day long to sit down, turn on the computer and play cooking games during her spare time… This is the good part as the number of cooks in the world is in disadvantage to the number of people who can barely make an omelet without burning it, so if you have problems with cooking dishes, this is a game of management simulations where you can have great fun while learning a trick or two. If you like cooking and cooking shows, this is the perfect game for you, where you have it all. Just sit down and start playing and you’ll definitely lose lots of time with this game.
Gameplay:
So it begins like this, with you as a chef, Armand LeBoef, who has just finished cooking school and inherited closed restaurant from his uncle. There are many decisions so choose carefully. The first thing you have to decide is what kind of cuisine you’ll have: American, Italian or French; then where will it be? : Los Angeles, Rome or Paris? When you decide that the adventure continues, because you’ll want to expand your business to all of these cities with several restaurants. Before you get there, there is much work to be done, but don’t worry as there is a great tutorial, well explained and easy to understand. You’ll have to set up the restaurants and everything that goes with that. You’ll have to think about your customers, decoration, menu items, pricing, employees and so on. However this just gives you control of similar real life situations. The game features two modes: the story mode and sandbox. In the story mode you’re a chef, Armand, presented with many different goals to be fulfilled. So, in the restaurant you’ll need to hire people for different kind of the job, like waiters, captains, kitchen porters and chefs. Each chef has a different level of skills, so you’ll have to think about it. You can hire more than one chef on your kitchen and let them do different jobs, for example: one can prepare salads, another soup, main courses and so on, because they are best at it and you don’t want them working with something they aren’t good at. At the same time, while they are working on their specialties they can learn and practice other things and so improve their skills. Then you don’t want your customers to be in a messy restaurant, think about decorations, lighting, dining sets, curtains, and other things. Then you’ll have to think about your dishes, and that is the most important thing. Each dish consists of several items, which have to be prepared in a high quality. As you’ll have different customers you’ll have to think about the prices too. You can make similar dishes, where you’ll change ingredients by customers taste or price – ones will want only ingredients they like and ones won’t like the price, so you’ll replace them with the ones that cost less. As mentioned some chefs can be assigned to do only certain types of dishes and at the same tie practice other skills and improve them, but this isn’t the only way to do it. You’ll get special customers who will have access to high-quality ingredients which you can buy and out into your recipes and make them better; and on the other hand you’ll get customers who will try to sell you their recipes or just an advise how to improve your recipes and so the quality. And just for the fun of it and necessity of more money, you’ll be able to get into local contests where you can get very valuable prices like a certain amount of money, new recipes and prestige for your chef which is very important if you want more customers in your restaurant . However, the quality of the food and all the prestige in the world won’t help you if your restaurant hasn’t got attractive decorations and if it doesn’t feel like a place where you can get good high-quality food and comfort of enjoyment with special care of your waiters, but also it needs to look good from the outside too so it can be caught by someone’s eye. So, if you want better and more quality comfort in your restaurant and can’t have it right away, you can upgrade your furniture later on and increase monthly training of your stuff and over all pay more money to rearrange the decorations and get better things for your restaurant. And just to soothe your mind, this isn’t the only thing you’ll have to think about, because you’ll be also busy with rearrangements of the tables and all other things in the kitchen and restaurant just to make your place more available for your customers and with all this you get great music. This is very amusing game where you’ll be occupied all the time and won’t definitely be bored. Just read the tutorial and learn all about the options and have fun.
