LUXOR 5th Passage description

Set failed to destroy Osiris and take over his kingdom, but seizes a new moment to attack when power of the realm is transferred to Horus. His minions flood the kingdom and the Egyptians are overwhelmed in the ensuing chaos. Horus, a great protector and warrior, hand-picks you to join him in this final battle. Stand with Horus and rid the kingdom of this menace once and for all. Navigate your shooter to fire colored spheres against the advancing chain in 100 dazzling levels like the Temple of Karnak and the Port of Alexandria. Use magnificent power-ups including four new ones such as the Double Shooter and the Black Hole, plus the introduction of the Eye of Horus, a last-ditch effort that eliminates all spheres. Unlock 20 achievements, test your accuracy in the all-new Blast mode, and play through 15 of your favorite past levels in the People's Choice mode. With four difficulty levels, 25 new backgrounds and pathways, and a ton of marble-shooting madness, this non-stop barrage of fun is certain to test your skills.

Egyptian myths, legends, tales whatever they are, they are now part of their culture, a culture and stories about its past I just can’t get enough. The fact that supreme gods are fighting between themselves and using all of their power sounds pretty appealing. Even though the story sounds quite attractive with Horus now standing against Seth, the only way for you to help in this battle is by playing Luxor. Luxor is back, probably better than ever, but it is up to every player to have its opinion, I’m here to give the facts and to tell you that the game really is good. The games structure has stayed the same, but the additions that are added to the game give it new life, making it more interesting and much more playable. When the game begins you get a brief intro about what has happened in the meantime and the threats that you are facing now, and must get rid of. Those facts are mentioned in the beginning of the game and after you lose every track of the story, but that wasn’t a big deal for me as the game itself kept me interested all of the time. The gameplay as said stayed pretty much the same. Many players have seen similarities with the game Zuma, and those of you who haven’t Luxor turns out to be a match 3 game with a serious graphical boost when put in short. You’ll be shooting balls that are connected to each other and it is up to you to create match 3 or more to prevent them to reach their goal. The balls are constantly moving and being added to other ones and of course you must get rid of them all. The game premise changes constantly and gets more difficult with the development in the game. Depending on what level of experience are you, you will pick-out one of the four difficulty levels that are given, with the Insane difficulty as the hardest one and for the bravest ones only. But besides bravery you have to think and come up with strategies that will get you out of tight situations, and is there a better way for that, then using power-ups. Favorites like the electric ball and fireball make a return, but now there’s also a black hole that absorbs any balls around it and an upgrade that lets you shoot two balls at once. There also a special one, that could be sometimes your last hope, The Eye of Horus. This power-up is your ace as it servers to clear out all of the spheres in the game. All of these power-ups are adding the game the additional kick that makes it move forward feeling fresh all the time. But this isn’t the only thing making it so good. The game has multiple modes within it. The adventure (the main mode) consists out of 100 levels to be finished and here it is the Luxor that everybody has seen and gotten used to. The stages are divided into different sections, each of which ends with a brand new bonus game. The new mode is the Blast mode where you are given two minutes to collect as much points as it is possible. Another mode that especially the veterans of the game might get fond of, is the People’s Choice Mode. Here you play fifteen levels that have been selected as the best from the previous games giving you a small flashback to the previous games and their themes and levels. The developers have tried introducing something new in the game, like a mini-game in between that shakes up a HOG. That’s why the bonus games are introduced in the adventure mode, where you have spikes that you use to instead of balls, and the goal is to clear all of the incoming balls. If you think you had enough, well you didn’t especially as there are 20 different achievements to fulfill. The games graphics just keep getting better and better with every new release. The Egyptian theme has been processed in such a way that every part of the screen is filled with nicely done effect. But the things that will definitely take your breath away are certainly the power-ups and the way they are used and shown in the gameplay. The effect of the power-ups combined with 25 new backgrounds and pathways just can’t leave you flat hearted with the high details seen in the game. This isn’t a new Luxor. Even though the theme has changed and there are a couple of new things to see and play too, it’s still pretty much the same game, but for now that doesn’t represent a problem as long as the developers of the game keep introducing new content to the game and refreshing it with every new release.
