The Vancouver studio of Microsoft has now been rebranded to Black Tusk Studios. And According to the official website of Black Tusk Studios, the new studio is fully dedicated to create immersive, AAA rating games, which would push the limits of entertainment platforms of Microsoft.
The Black Tusk Studio is presently recruiting for multiple of its positions and is aiming to define the next big entertainment franchise of Microsoft.
Despite the fact that the first project of the studio has not been revealed yet, the fact that they are on the look for a new lead environment artist implies that the developing team is currently working on a new “AAA console title”.
The other vacancies include a senior gameplay engineer with experience in co-op and/or multiplayer gameplay development, and a senior visual effects engineer with experience in DirectX11. As the Xbox 360 does not support DirectX11, we can assume that they are possibly developing a game for the next-generation of Microsoft gaming consoles.
Mike Crump, the head of Black Tusk studio stated that they are looking forward to building the next “Halo” in Vancouver, which he described as “really exciting”.
