Google announced the release of its new Nexus phone and tablets, although they could not have the big press conference they were planning to have in New York, due to Hurricane Sandy.
The new lineup includes LG’s new Nexus 4 smartphone, Samsung’s Nexus 10 tablet and the updated Nexus 7 tablet from Asus. Google has also decided to add some new features to its Android OS, releasing Android 4.2.

Nexus 4 by LG
The Nexus 4 features a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, an 8-MP rear camera and a 1.3-MP front camera, a 4.7-inch display with 1280-by-768 resolution, 2 GB RAM and an 8 16 GB internal storage. In addition, it also features micro-HDMI output, a micro-USB port and NFC (Near Field Communications) and wireless charging.

Nexus 10 by Samsung
Nexus 10 is the first Nexus tablet by Google that competes directly with the Apple’s iPad. The tablet features a dual-core A15 processor, a 5-MP rear camera and a 1.9-MP front camera, 2 GB RAM, Micro HDMI, Micro USB and NFC. And it is the first tablet that supports multiple user accounts.

Upgrades to Asus Nexus 7
Asus and Google have doubled the storage on the Nexus 7. And it comes with preloaded Android 4.2.
