The rumors about Apple developing wristwatch like in Dick Tracy (Dick Tracy is a popular American comic strip that features an intelligent, fast-shooting and hard-hitting police detective named Dick Tracy) have come up once again.
Last Sunday (10th Feb) The New York Times, reported that Apple is currently doing some experiments with some wristwatch-type iOS devices, which feature curved glasses. The main advantage Apple has when it comes to the "iWatch," as many people like to call it now, is the expertise the company already have with the curved glasses.
However, there are still many unanswered questions such as, whether the iWatch device would feature Siri, Apple Maps support, able to operate as a wireless imbursement device, etc.
The rumors on Apple, the company who introduced so many revolutionary devices in the past like iPhone, iPod and iPad, working on a gadget like this have been circulating the tech circles for months. A Chinese blog report from December 2012 stated that Apple Inc. had made a partnership with Intel in order to develop and manufacture a wristwatch powered by iOS, which would feature a OLED screen sized 1.5 inches and have Bluetooth-enabled.
However, none of the sources have promised any timetable as the immaturity of the technology related to flexible glasses and the improvements required in fields like battery life suggests that the Apple’s iWatch may still be at least one year away from coming to the stores.
