Pro Cycling Manager 2010
All the worlds biggest cycling events are here, including the Tour de France and its 2010 route, the Vuelta and many others!
Pro Cycling Manager is one of the rare games in its genre. That’s why when the new release comes out, the big fans but also the small ones are always there to welcome the game and start playing it. The release date of the game is always around the time when the Tour de France begins. As many years have gone by, a decade approximately, the game development, as any games over the years, was inevitable and welcome. In this games case the thing that had the most drastic improvement compared with the past releases is definitely the games graphic engine. As the game starts you will be able to pick out one of the 65 teams offered by the game, or if you want you can create your own team by your own specifications. As the manager of the team you have to take care about almost everything about the team, like contracts, training, finances, transfers, etc. But of course the most important of the game are the races themselves. You will race through some of the most important cycling events around the world in 500 different stages. Although the game is mainly based as a management game, it has some of engagement in the game which needs your attention. The way that the game is played will be a bit familiar to the players who played Football Manager. The convenient interface of the game allows you to focus on the races in the game instead on the navigation menu. The game has some different modes to offer whether in difficulty or the gameplay. The difficulty of the game is split in three levels: beginner, junior and professional. As for the gameplay you will meet different kind of modes like SPEED, where you will be racing against somebody else 1 on 1 or PLAYOFF’s where the rider that finishes up last will be eliminated by every lap and etc. The one things that the veterans of the game will notice that this is pretty much copy paste of the last years games, but what is there much to change anyway??? Sure the graphics of the game is definitely improved, and every change that considers the stages and the drivers are updated, but that’s pretty much it, maybe just some additional modes. The interface of the game is nothing to be bothered with much, as it is done pretty simple and using it is very easy. One of the newness in the game is the mode where you can customize and create everything you want in the game. Create your own competitions and organize a whole year season! From the choice of the stages and the unfolding of the calendar, to the point scale, and from the selection of the participating teams to the draft option, each individual parameter can be modified. But you will be mostly playing in the career mode as the main mode and the most interesting one. As one of the challenges to the game is the 50 different records set just for you to match them or break them. Every manager in the game which tries this challenge will surely find a challenge that will take his max and more to beat it. As the graphics of the game has been enhanced so did the simulation of the races making them more realistic. The sound of the game isn’t as good as the graphics, but the sound is something that you really need in this game much anyway. All in all we have a good game for the bikers and their fans to test their managing skills of leading a whole team through many obstacles and challenges. See if you are fit for it.
